This information is for Students, Alumni, Faculty and Staff of Sturm College of Law University of Denver whose accounts are hosted on the Microsoft cloud.

iPhone Settings

Set up Exchange ActiveSync on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Add your Exchange account.
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Exchange.
Enter your information.
Enter your full email address and password. If you want to, you can also enter an account description. This should be all you need if you have the latest version of IOS. If you do not have the latest version, consider updating to it.
Connect to the Exchange Server.
Your iOS device will try to find your Exchange Server. If the account does not verify and asks for a Server and Domain use outlook.office365.com for the server, leave the domain blank, and use your entire email address for the username.
Sync your content.
You can sync Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes. When you're finished, tap Save.

Android Settings

There are many versions of Androids, so you may see slightly different prompts.

Tap Settings > Accounts > Add account > Email.
Type your full email address, for example flastname@law.du.edu, type your password, and then tap Next.
Select the Exchange option.
Select OK to continue.
If you are prompted to enter additional details such as server settings:
a) The Domain is law.du.edu.
Server is outlook.office365.com.
c) Check Use secure connection (SSL).
d)Uncheck Accept all SSL certificates.
e) Client certificate should be None.
f) The Port should be 443
Click Next
If you receive a Remote security administration message, Click OK.
a) Outlook for Android may request access to certain information such as your contacts, calendar, etc. Tap Yes or Allow to grant these permissions.
This is indeed a scary warning, but what "Erase all data" refers to a feature on Outlook Web Access. If your phone is lost or stolen, you can log into Outlook Web Access and remotely prompt the factory reset of your phone to secure your data.
Tap Activate.
You are now ready to use Outlook for Android. Tap any one of the icons to view your calendar, files, or contacts in the app.

Windows 7/8 Phones

Click Settings
Click email + accounts.
Click add an account.
Click Outlook as the type of account.
Enter your full email address and password and sign in.
Click done.

Other Settings

Set up IMAP or POP email accounts

We recommend that you use Exchange Sync if at all possible, but if you do need to use some other set up, here is a reference for settings. This information is also available if you log into your account in Outlook Web Access and click on See All Options in the upper right of screen. Under My Account, choose the link "Settings for POP, IMAP, and SMTP access…"

Tap Settings > Accounts > Add account > Email.
Type your full email address, for example flastname@law.du.edu, type your password, and then tap Next.
Select Manual.
Review the settings below and update if necessary.

POP setting
Server name: outlook.office365.com
Port: 995
Encryption method: SSL

IMAP setting
Server name: outlook.office365.com
Port: 993
Encryption method: SSL

SMTP setting
Server name: smtp.office365.com
Port: 587
Encryption method: TLS (STARTTLS)
